Please join the Nathan Cummings Foundation for a member-hosted panel discussion of the investment risks inherent in the mining of the transition minerals necessary for the move to a green economy.

Transition minerals such as nickel, lithium, cobalt, and platinum are critical to the development of a green, low-carbon economy. Yet increased mining for these resources threatens Indigenous rights and territories through the desecration of sacred places, pollution, and an increased risk of sexual violence and homicide. As we saw play out with the Keystone XL Pipeline, the failure to obtain free, prior informed consent from impacted peoples can result in significant delays and dramatically increased costs. Join us to learn about pathways for a just transition to a green economy that protects both long-term shareholder value and the rights and cultures of Indigenous Peoples around the world.
